Chelsea Cowles

Hi! My name is Chelsea Cowles and I am the Elementary Preparatory head teacher at Brackendale Montessori.

I have been working with children for 10 years and been with Brackendale for almost 7 years now.

I am a registered Early Childhood Educator along with having my Montessori diploma, first aid, CPR and WHIMIS training.

In my free time I enjoy reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and long walks with my mom and dog.

The most amazing thing about working with children is watching them explore their environment, use their imaginations, ask thoughtful questions and of course watching them grow in so many ways.

Renina Clayton

Hi! My name is Renina Clayton and I am the Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher at Brackendale Montessori.

I have been working with children for ten years and been with Brackendale for almost two years.

I have my Bachelor of Health Science in kinesiology.

In my free time I enjoy reading.

The most amazing thing about working with children is being a part of their growth and development because, the way in which you take care of children, shapes their tomorrow.

Rachael Chin

Hi! My name is Rachael Chin and I am the Casa 1 assistant teacher at Brackendale Montessori.

I have been working with children for 3 ½ years and been with Brackendale for 2 ½ years.

I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and my Montessori Assistant Certificate.

In my free time I enjoy reading mystery novels, hiking, and spending time with my family.

The most amazing thing about working with children is seeing their smiles and sense of pride when they achieve new milestones.

Rosie Corona

Hi! My name is Rosie Corona and I am the Infant Class as head teacher at Brackendale Montessori.

I have been working with children for 16 years and been with Brackendale for the last 2 years.

I have my Registered Early Childhood Education Diploma and I am working on another certification “children mental health”. I also speak Italian and Spanish.
In my free time I enjoy taking road trips with my children, spending time keeping fit and running through the many trails Canada has to offer.

The most amazing thing about working with children is the passion of education and knowing that each day brings about something new. Children are like a canvas the more we teach the more the child will absorb.

Christina Moniz

Hi! My name is Christina Moniz and I am one of the Toddler room head teachers at Brackendale Montessori.

I have been working with children for 5 years and been with Brackendale for 5 months.

I have my diploma in Early Childhood Education.

In my free time I enjoy being adventurous.

Cassandra Arsenault

Hi! My name is Cassandra Arsenault and I am the Head teacher in Casa 1 at Bracken-dale Montessori.

I have been working with children for 9 years and been with Brackendale for 8 years.

I have my Montessori assistant training and am working towards my full Montessori cer-tificate.

In my free time I enjoy shopping and being around family.

The most amazing thing about working with children is being able to witness every step of their growth. Each day brings new excitement!

Meghan Ferguson

Hi! My name is Meghan Ferguson, and I am the Lower Elementary head teacher at Brackendale Montessori.

I have been working with children for 6 years and been with Brackendale for 4 years.

I have my AMI Montessori Diploma from The Foundation for Montessori Education, a MACTE Lower Elementary Diploma from The Canadian Montessori Teachers Education Institute, and a Photography and Media Studies Diploma from Humber College.

In my free time I enjoy hanging out at the park with my son and playing guitar.

The most amazing thing about working with children is the “a-ha” moment. When the child you have watched try to master a skill finally does it independently, and you see the look of pride on their face. I honestly cry every time a child first ties their shoes or reads their first word!

Michelle Nigli

Hi! My name is Michelle Nigli, and I am the Site Supervisor here at Brackendale Montessori.

I have been working with children for 9 years and been with Brackendale for 2 years.

I have a diploma in Early childhood Education with a background in Child psychology.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, especially trying out new food togeth-er.

The most amazing thing about working with children is my days are filled with fun and laughter.

Beverly Pryke

Hi! My name is Beverly Pryke, and I am the Vice-Principal here at Brackendale Montes-sori.

I have been working with children for over 20 years and been with Brackendale for 15 years.

I have received my Montessori diploma from The Canadian Montessori Teachers Edu-cation Institute and a diploma in Early Childhood Education from George Brown College.

I enjoy going for walks with my family and trying new arts and crafts, in my free time.

The most amazing thing about working with children is getting to know new families and learning the best way to teach each child. Seeing children achieve new milestones and be excited about learning is one of the best rewards.
