Writing is a skill that is being developed LONG be Writing is a skill that is being developed LONG before the student ever puts a pencil to paper. We work first with preparations of the hand, fine motor skills, and lengthening concentration. As the child progresses through the program the materials given lead them closer and closer to word formation on paper. Here we can see three activities done in Elementary Preparatory which are all part of our writing program. We have letter formation on a chalkboard using a pencil grip. Metal Inset for fine motor control. Lastly, you see the student writing with pencil in both cursive and print. All the materials are important and all the materials are connected in a way that supports the students development at ALL STAGES.
